Oracle SQL & PL/SQL developer


Location: Brussels, Belgium

 Our client, a leading telecoms company based in Brussels, is searching for an Oracle SQL & PL/SQL Developer to develop Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Scripts to migrate data into an inventory system. He/she will join a team of experts responsible for network monitoring systems

Applicants should have excellent SQL and PL/SQL skills on Oracle 10 and 11, and will be expected to have worked on large scale data migration projects and have worked in a Linux environment. Any experience with Redgate Source Control for Oracle is considered an asset and telecom knowledge (SHD, WDM, Voice, SS7) / IP Networks is also a plus.

Job Description
You will be part of a small team of Networking/IT experts responsible for the company’s network monitoring systems and network data extraction. You will be involved in the development of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts to migrate data into the new inventory system from the current network inventory and extracted from the network.

Profile
You have very good SQL and PL/SQL skills on Oracle 10 and 11
You have experience with large scale data migration projects
You have experience working in a Linux environment (as an end-user)
Experience with Redgate Source Control for Oracle is a plus
Experience with telecom (e.g. SDH, WDM, Voice, SS7) and IP networks concepts is a plus
Experience with a scripting language: Python, Perl or shell is a plus
You are “Best Practices”-minded (naming conventions, code comments, standard design patterns, …)
You have good technical writing skills to write short technical documentation (e.g. on Wiki) for the performed developments so the other team members can understand them in the future
You are fluent in English
