Task description 

 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & Analytics Platform Architectto join our Data & Analytics team. As the Platform Architect, you will take ownership of our expanding Data Platform architecture and ensure that our solutions fully leverage the capabilities of our diverse Data ecosystem.

 As part of the Data & Analytics team, the Data & Analytics Platform team is responsible for the stability, health, and future-proof architecture of our Data & Analytics Platform. Currently, our platform consists of Teradata as the main Data Warehouse, Cloudera and the Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Ni-Fi, Kafka, etc.) as the Big Data platform, and Qlik as the reporting software.

 In this role, you will have a significant impact on the definition, management, and maintenance of our current and future Data Platform. Your expertise will be key in guiding us towards achieving a Lakehouse architecture in the cloud.

Your Responsibilities    

  • Provide strong functional and technical guidance to ensure proper design of the Data & Analytics Platform, aiming for best-in-class technical and integration solutions.
  • Design, coordinate, and execute pilots, prototypes, or proof of concepts to validate specific scenarios.
  • Lead and coordinate operational activities related to the Data & Analytics Platform.
  • Take ownership of technical documentation for the platforms involved in the Data & Analytics Platform.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise architects to align Data & Analytics Platform designs with the global Architecture and contribute to the global architecture.
  • Oversee and continuously enhance the architecture and ecosystem of the Data & Analytics Platform.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge about the tools and platforms used in the data & analytics platform, as well as their ecosystem and roadmap.
  • Bridge the organizational needs of different users of the Data & Analytics Platform, including data scientists, data engineers, and Qlik Developers.
  • Lead the ongoing transition of the on-premise system to the public cloud.
  • Coach the development team in relevant areas.

 Your skills

  • Extensive expertise in modern Data Platforms, particularly focusing on the Big Data Hadoop ecosystem and Massive Parallel Processing data warehouses.
  • In-depth understanding of the capabilities and specificities of Public Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Demonstrated track record in working with public cloud Data Platforms and implementing Lakehouse architecture.
  • Proven experience in managing and architecting the Hadoop ecosystem.
  • Ability to perform system benchmarking, identify system bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions for resolution.
  • Strong team player with the capability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, as the data environment is developed collaboratively with employees from diverse disciplines.

  Your Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Data & Analytics Platform Architect or Data & Analytics Solution Architect.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of modern data platforms and data solutions.
  • Excellent ability to comprehend business requirements and translate them into solution designs.
  • Capable of advising the business on process optimization to maximize tool utilization.
  • Quality-oriented mindset with a keen focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Open-minded team player who is flexible and adaptable to changing needs.
  • Committed to delivering results, with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and explore new possibilities.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential.
