Role description:
The Mobile internet business is entering in a new era of technology evolution. The 5G technology that is under deployment next to the 4G (i.e. LTE) and other Mobile data (e.g. Wifi) will offer new higher service bandwidth (i.e. eMBB) but also new capabilities to foster the deployment of IoT technologies broadening the service offers to connected cars, AR/RV VDO, industry 4.0…
The current public Mobile data core of the client is built on virtualized technologies (CNF/SDN), offering 2G/3G/4G and 5G technologies. Next to that the client is developing Mobile Private Network solutions for its business and enterprise customers. In this context the Engineering team in charge of the Mobile Data core is looking for a Mobile Private Network expert, with broad skills and experience of 5G and associated service deployments (e.g. 5G SA slicing).
Required Responsibilities:
– Design and support the integration and deployment of 5G Mobile Private Network solutions
– Support Proximus enterprise deployment teams to further industrialize the integration and deployment of these solution
– Follow-up the supplier’s roadmaps
– Define the customer and technical requirements
– Validate new features
– Support the integration in existing or new deployed 5G SA Mobile Private Network solutions.
Skills & Experience:
– Experience with Druid solutions and Ericsson 5G core is an extra asset but not necessarily required.
– Skilled on Mobile Private Network
– Good knowledge of 5G and telecom standards (3GPP, ETSI….)
– Practical experience of deployment of new Mobile Data Core solutions and integration in an existing telco network.
– familar with PCAP trace decoding via Wireshark application or equivalent
Technical skills:
– Druid Network-In-a-Box technology
– Ericsson Dual Mode Core Local Breakout (distributed 5G SA UPF) technology
